If you try to reinstall Windows XP and donвЂ™t have your original product key or CD, you canвЂ™t simply borrow one from another workstation. After the key has been activated, it canвЂ™t be used on another workstation unless youвЂ™re using a Volume-Licensed version of Windows XP.
